After Mario Rossin had worked for many years in the well-known workshop and frame forge of Ernesto Colnago and had gained a lot of experience, he founded the company "Rossin" in 1974 together with four other partners. Well-known Italian brands such as Royal Cola and Rossignol Skis served as inspiration for the design and logo. The pentagon of the logo stands for the five partners. Innovation and previously unknown design characterize the history of the company. The disc wheel that led Eddy Merckx to the hour record in Mexico in 1983 is just one of many examples.
A masterpiece of the 1980s, the Rossin Ghibli road bike shines like a shining star in the world of cycling. Manufactured by Rossin, a prestigious Italian bicycle manufacturer, the Ghibli embodies the perfect symbiosis of elegance, performance and technical sophistication. With its aerodynamic frame and graceful silhouette, the Ghibli is not only an aesthetic jewel, but also a high-performance machine for demanding riders. The frame was born for speed. Its aggressive geometry and optimized design make it a favorite among racers and time trial specialists. In the hands of talented riders, it unleashes its full potential, carrying them like wings on the road. Today, decades later, the Rossin Ghibli remains a coveted collector's item and a tribute to the tradition and excellence of Italian bicycle manufacturing. Its timeless beauty and unparalleled performance will always hold a special place in the hearts and garages of cycling enthusiasts around the world.
The Campagnolo Super Record groupset was the ultimate derailleur of its time. All sorts of strange claims were made: the aluminum was some kind of super special alloy, the black anodizing was some kind of super special coating, etc. The truth is a little more banal. The aluminum used is exactly the same alloy that was used on the Nuovo Record. The black anodizing is - wait for it - black anodized.
The real technical differences were the use of exotic material for the two large Allen bolts and a larger "flange" on the pulley cage. The derailleur feels good in the hand, has a timeless look and feels valuable simply because it was once so absurdly expensive. It's hard to define what makes a classic, but whatever it is, the Campagnolo Super Record has done the job.
